Group show at Sugar with Douglas Goldberg and Jimmy Miracle from November 14th, 2009 - January 2nd, 2010. Curated by Gwendolyn Skaggs.
"An exhibition of works by three artists who have manipulated various materials of various densities with varying degrees of difficulty. Like magicians, veiling and unveiling perceptions with the cleverness of the hands.
By bringing these works together I display my lack of concern for fluidity in the curating process, and highlight my interest in the validity of all possibilities, through sculpture. These three artists transform a reality: mundane objects are made sacred through carving and veiling, paper becomes a language into a run on sentence, and home decor is "glorified" through a floatable ships anchor with football player in tow.
All of the works are witty, charming, and endearing to the art making process. It is obvious that each artist and his medium are a perfect match."
